A Personal Story That Sparked a Movement
"Storytelling saved us when everything else was stripped away.” Kate Markland
In 2023, Kate was separated from her son Gabriel. What followed was 16 months of weekly FaceTime calls, where stories became their bond, their voice, their healing. Gabriel narrated. Kate wrote. Together they created the first Adventures of Gabriel book.
Through storytelling, Gabriel reclaimed his voice—and Kate found a new mission: to help other children do the same.
